An important question

So, as I wonder about a bunch of useless stuff, and I was thinking:
When Smurfette was originally introduced to the Smurfs (Gargamel's creation), she had dark hair and was evil. When PapaSmurf turned her into good Smurfette (or slutty...), why did he also change her hair from short and brown to long, wavey and blonde?

Speaking of plastic smurfery, maybe Tammy Thompson needed a little instead of all the roids? Yes, this is a woman. PapaSmurf could have helped her, although she might have started to look like Ashley Simpson.
