Overtime Pay, What's That?

I don't get overtime although I am expected to work it when I need to. I think that brings my hourly rate to about $20 an hour. Anyway, the SF Chronicle is showing me that I am in the wrong line of work. First off, forget private companies, I should work for SF. People get great benefits and amazing overtime pay!
On a different note, I was sick again so I didn't race the Primus Mootry Crit as I had planned. My world was spinning on Sunday and I pretty much was on the couch and sleeping. I am so done with being sick!
Faucet 'O' Snot
Since it provides such a good visual, I thought I would use it as a title. I had that on Friday and Saturday. My dad had a cold when I got to CA last weekend. I didn't take my Emergen-C as I should have and didn't dose up on the Zycam. Instead, I was suffering from having done too much with the house and I am also under a lot of stress at work as I am working for a MEAN person these days. Nonetheless, I thought I was free and clear until Thursday when what I thought were allergies turned into a cold with aches and pains to boot.
I spent the weekend on my couch and gardening a bit. I also got my wireless to work and learned that I can plug in my computer into my new TV and stream cycling.tv on my TV (Amstel Gold was on) as well as watch instant Netflix. These were both very good things to learn when the faucet of snot was still going!
Yesterday, I perused the Denver Dumb Friends League website and fell in love with a 4-month old Australian Merle mix. Oh... so cute! I want to get her, but I leave for Etna for Memorial day and just don't think that would be fair. So... I will wait and get a puppy when I return. Am I ever going to bike race this year? The verdict is out. Although, I am thinking of racing the 35+ crit (first time for everything) on Sunday morning as I didn't ride this weekend as planned due to the mutant plague I had!
OK, I think I like it

Since I am not currently racing (potential RR next weekend), I am just doing house stuff. I actually think I like the mint green in the bathroom!
Now I need either a hunky gardener or to learn how to garden... off to get some seed for this weekend.
The Swiss Missie Answers Questions
Panda Love wrote and thought that my move was not permanent:
Panda: It's permanent, but you know nothing in life is permanent. I was sick and tired of my landlord (house fire, retained council), of not owning my own home to paint in horrid colors and also, I was sick of paying 28% in Federal taxes and having no write-offs. As we know, Cycling isn't a write off although I really did want to test out those hobby-loss rules.
My Swiss Mommy: Chou-chou, I was not aware that you liked and still ate Speghetti-O's.
Why yes, although I am more upscale now and eat the Annie's organic Bunny-O's. They taste mighty good particularly after an entire day of packing and moving!
Tyson from American Cyclery: Are you seriously considering quitting bike racing becuase you have had bad mechanics in Denver?
Well, that is not exactly the reason, but XXX CycleXX bites and cannot get my bike to actually shift correctly and I swear put my headset in upside down and then tried to deny it. I am also just super burned out from training inside all winter and long for leisure non plan/coach related riding. I am trying to think positive and get over my funk hump regarding racing. I am still planning on Superweek in July as long as I don't just become a "house" wife. I know, I know... I would need to get married for that one.
Mint Green: A Bad Color for the Bathroom
I am a home owner. Closing was awful; I will not bore you with the details. I now want to paint all the colors that I get to paint that I couldn't when I was a renter. I chose a light butter for my bedroom, a milky coffee for the front bedroom and my living room and for some screwy reason, mint green for the bathroom. It turned out sort of cute, but at night, it's like being immersed in a Jell-O key lime pie. HORRIBLE.
I have been painting... not biking and my back and hands hurt. I also thought I liked painting. I was WRONG. But, now that I need to repaint the bathroom... I will be painting for a long time to come.
