Unable to come up with a title.
I was going to write about my silly race with the major mechanical issue and swear a bit at the local mechanics who failed to replace my headset correctly, but I got some awful news and my race report just seems too trivial. Kristi Gough (Third Pillar) was a rising star in Bay Area cycling and today she and Matt Peterson (Roaring Mouse) were killed in Cupertino, CA. They were hit by a Santa Clara Sheriff. It's unbelievable.I never raced Kristi as she didn't hit the scene until this season, but there was so much said about her as the one to watch. This seems so unreal.
My heart goes out to both Matt and Kristi's family and friends as well as everyone at Third Pillar and Roaring Mouse.
